PhD / PsyD

What it means

A psychology doctorate means the coach has rigorous training in human behavior, assessment, and (typically) clinical practice. Common among executive coaches and leadership consultants who started in IO psychology or clinical work.

Requirements

Doctoral degree from an accredited program. PhDs are typically research-focused; PsyDs are practice-focused.
