ArborWhat Arbor is
Arbor is a structured directory of professional coaches with explicit taxonomy for credentials, methodologies, specializations, locations, and session rates. Today the directory holds 5,186 active coaches across 1,627 cities in dozens of countries, with 3,197 client reviews. Of those, 1,770 profiles pass our quality gate and are surfaced in search.
We built Arbor because the existing coaching directories treat coaches as inventory rather than as professionals with structured expertise. The right coach for you is defined by what they specialize in, how they work, and where they're credentialed — not by whoever paid for the top of the page.
The quality gate
A coach profile is included in our search index (and the sitemap) only when it passes at least three of these five criteria:
- Bio longer than 100 characters
- At least one verified credential
- At least one specialization tag
- At least one methodology tag
- At least one client review
Profiles that fall short still render at their direct URL (so coaches can find and claim them) but carry a noindextag and stay out of search. We'd rather have a smaller index of high-signal profiles than a bigger index that wastes a visitor's time.
Where the data comes from
Coach profiles are seeded from public sources. Bios, credentials, training schools, ratings, and reviews are pulled verbatim from each coach's public profile. Credential and methodology tagging is then derived via an NLP pass that maps freetext to our taxonomy.
Short SEO-friendly summaries (140–160 characters, shown in meta descriptions) are AI-generated from each coach's bio. Everything else — the bio, the reviews, the credentials — is the coach's own words.
Editorial copy on the credentials, specializations, pricing, and city pages is human-written, opinionated, and revised as the field evolves. It reflects our independent reading of the coaching landscape, not paid placement.
Claiming a profile
If you're a coach indexed here, you can claim your profile to update your bio, add credentials and a booking link, and respond to inquiries. Find your profile. Claimed profiles carry a verified marker; unclaimed profiles indicate publicly-sourced data only.
Editorial independence
No coach pays to be listed, ranked higher, or featured. Coaches do not pay to claim or verify their profile. We don't accept sponsored content, and ranking on directory pages is determined by indexability + rating, not by any commercial relationship.
