My love of coaching may have had its beginnings in what my mom called my “never met a stranger” personality when I was a kid. I loved talking with people, hearing what made them tick, asking questions, and listening deeply to their story.
As I’ve matured, I discovered that this may have arisen because, and pardon if this sounds completely obvious, I believe that each person brings their own perspective to the world. I am perpetually fascinated by this.
My approach can be summed up: confidentiality, respect, validation, kind and truthful feedback, open-mindedness, complete attention, and thoughtful questions.
I also use humor whenever appropriate because it has worked well for me during my own coaching journey and creates room where small cognitions and realizations can materialize.
My main goal is to build trust and appreciate clients for where they are in their process. I help clients examine their blocks while allowing them the space to see how the block serves them and how we can co-create a solution together that creates a lasting change.
After coaching for a year, I recently got certified through the Certified Life Coaching Institute, which deepened my understanding of total-client coaching, validation, transformational listening, and much more.
I am also an experienced yoga and meditation teacher and creator of Body-Informed Resiliency, a technique that tones the ventral branch of the vagus nerve to promote a sense of calm well-being. I have found that it is from this place of a regulated nervous system that I have made the most lasting positive changes.
I also offer bespoke meditations and practices for clients who want to deepen their connection to their spiritual self.
My greatest wish is to help clients come up with a practical, workable action plan and supporting practices to help them reach their goals and overcome fears and obstacles.
