Tanya E. Spencer is the co-founder and owner of Build Lead Succeed LLC, a consulting firm specializing in coaching and advising senior executives on navigating complex business challenges. With over three decades of global leadership experience, she brings deep expertise in strategy, sales, and organizational transformation to help businesses drive performance and sustainable growth.
Throughout her 31-year career, Tanya has built a reputation for action, tenacity, and results, enhancing both business outcomes and team effectiveness. She has 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, including four years living in Nigeria, where she led market expansion efforts for GE Oil & Gas, strengthening partnerships across Africa’s energy sector. In addition to her commercial leadership, she dedicated six years to developing future executives and fostering inclusive workplace cultures.
Her community work includes co-chairing a leadership development program for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Part of Tanya's coaching background includes leading a leadership acceleration program for Senior Managers from around the world, preparing them for bigger leadership roles. Before transitioning to business ownership, she served as Chief Diversity Officer for GE Gas Power, leading inclusion initiatives for 20,000 employees across 70+ countries. Her work reinforced a culture of belonging while driving leadership development and talent processes.
Tanya is a wife, mom, parental caretaker, athlete, baker, and avid reader.
